Cool Sh*t to Share, Vol. 11

I think this might be my favorite weekly round-up just yet… I have so much cool sh*t to share with you this week!

Peaks & Pits

Pit: I’m bummed I had to miss Fashion Week because of my schedule this year, but mainly because I haven’t had a chance to see a lot of my friends from other cities. (I wrote a piece on how I don’t actually miss going to shows and whatnot.) Duty calls, though. There’s always next season!

Peak: SoulCycle is running an awesome promotion this month, so I’ve had a chance to meet a lot of newbies this week! first-time riders can ride for free at SoulCycle until Sept. 26, 2016. And yes, this is in all markets — call your local studio to book a bike, and if you’re in Chicago come ride with me! Here’s my schedule.

• Zappos finally re-stocked my favorite blush pink sunglasses (pictured above)… And they’re 20% off! I’m seriously thinking about buying another pair — I love them that much.

• I love Clare V’s leopard-print fold-over clutch — and I get so much use out of it — but if that’s out of your budget, I found a similar style here for $40.

• Great read from one of SoulCycle’s New York-based instructors, Charlee Atkins, on why you can eat a cookie before your workout (plus more words of wisdom).

• Um, obsessed. So far, my favorite thing from New York Fashion Week is Loeffler Randall’s ‘Nicolette’ high-heel fox fur sandals. I bought the multi-color pair and got 10% off using the code LRNEWS10 — and I definitely won’t be waiting ’til next spring to wear them. As long as it’s dry outside, they’ll look so cute with tights!

• Some great advice on how to eat healthy when you’re on vacation… Definitely bookmarking this one! Any tips you’d care to share?
• I love Old Navy’s “Rockstar” denim. I bought this pair at 30% off and plan to get another wash to wear all season long… This distressed pair, perhaps? Good ‘ol Old Navy, always having a sale.

• FYI! Vitamix is having a sale on refurbished blenders through the end of the year. This model is $250 (originally $379) and despite the products being “reconditioned,” the reviews seem really good. Plus, it comes with a five-year warranty.

• A trip down memory lane from my Day in the Life posts during Fashion Week… Those were the days (of no sleep and schlepping all damn day). Too funny, admittedly!

• My new favorite everyday lip color is bareMinerals’ Gen Nud’ buttercream lip gloss in ‘Forbidden’. It’s such a pretty, barely-there gloss. (I know, buying lip products online is iffy, but I’m wearing it in this post.)
• Do you guys have your college e-mail addresses forwarding to your G-mail account? (Or if you’re still in college, read on.) I just discovered that Amazon Prime is free for 6 months (and then 50% off at $49/year) if you sign up as a student… I used my old .edu address (which forwards to my personal email) and it worked!
