Pom Pom High Heels

Fall seems to be slowly moving into the Windy City, and I’ve taken that as a good excuse to stock up on a few new fall staples.

That’s the best thing about the changing seasons, no?

Slowly but surely, I’ve been transitioning my closet from summer to fall (thicker pants, more plaid, less linen — and so on), which actually means that everything tends to end up on the floor somewhere in between, but I digress.

I’m packing for a trip to Paris this coming weekend, too, so most of my favorite fall staples have found their way into my suitcase rather than into my closet… (Namely, the cozy ivory-colored sweater I’m wearing today.)

No complaints there.

… And even though they’re open-toe, these shoes are no exception.

I do so much walking in Chicago that it’s rare to can find a cute pair of high heels comfortable enough to justify purchasing. Can you relate?

Zara, though, has always been one of my go-to’s for cute (and comfortable) kicks. Paired with today’s chunky sweater and scalloped skirt, this is a look that’s been working for me for both day and night. Or on those days where I don’t have time to go home in the interim.

Where do you have good luck shopping for walkable high-heels?

More updates on my trip to Paris to come, among other things… This may be weird to say, but I am so freakin’ excited for my long-ass plane ride overseas. I’m excited to have some time to relax, jam out and just write. It’ll be so nice to catch up on content (and I imagine you guys feel the same way).

  1. Cute outfit! I can’t wear really high heels if I need to walk much. But I always find Stuart Weitzman very comfortable. Enjoy Paris!

  2. Have a wonderful trip!! Love the outfit. Thank goodness you will be back in time for my visit to Chi in 2 weeks! Going to take your class and I cannot wait!
