Polka Dot Pieces

Over the past two weeks, we’ve talked dip-dye and lace. Today, it’s all about polka dots.
For the third installment of playing dress up with Target, I’ve few funky sets of spotted ensembles to highlight a few fresh ways in which you can incorporate polka dots into your look this season. The looks below are styled in head-to-toe in pieces available exclusively at Target. Which is your favorite?

Killer Kicks | #OneofaKindStyle

Last week, in a post inspired by Diet Dr Pepper‘s #OneofaKindStyle sweepstakes, we touched on the relationship between my wardrobe and the weather — and how it’s not as you’d expect (read more on that here).

Today, the focus is shifting from a color-packed ensemble to a killer pair of kicks. In my opinion, there’s no easier, sure-fire way to amp up your style factor and underline your individuality. Here’s a few of my favorite pairs of pumps (as of late):

Special thanks to Diet Dr Pepper for inviting me to showcase my #OneofaKindStyle and to tell you guys about their sweeps this month. For deets on how you can enter to win one of thirty stylish prizes, click the image below and head over to DDP’s website.

Not Over Ombré

In researching today’s post, I had a revelation: I’m decidedly not over dip-dye.

More often referred to as “ombré,” this trend of stylish gradation has splashed its way across the runway, landed in our living rooms and even ended up in our locks and on our lips.

Target now offers an affordable take on the trend, making it an easy for us to (re)invent into our spring wardrobes. Why I’m still hooked? The dip-dye effect of subtle shading from saturated to soft colors feels like a modern take on the sunny tie-dye trends of generations ago. I don’t know about you, but as much as I love cute winter coats and layering for winter, I’m ready for abundant sunshine and happy hours al fresco.

Those days are still a bit far off here in New York, so when Target tasked me (via Glam) with styling their dip-dye collection to create a trendy set of spring ensembles, I jumped at the opportunity to overcome my annual SAD.

Here’s a few ways I’d wear it, styled from head-to-toe in pieces available exclusively at Target.
