Spring Layers

Living out of two suitcases has proven to be a bit challenging. Or rather, living out of two suitcases and not shopping has proven to be challenging.

Have I mentioned my daily commute requires three blocks of window shopping along Fifth Avenue? Oh, and there’s a Zara 500 yards from my office. Where’s that retail restraining order I’ve been harping about? (Throwback.)

This day was a rarity in which a cute winter coat wasn’t required, so instead of suffering in my down-parka on the walk to work, I layered up a J.Crew blazer and utilitarian BCBG jacket. I borrowed these Zara heels from Jessica and made my way out the door. I’ve worn each of these pieces separately on a number of occasions, so it was fun to style them through a slightly different lens.

*Wearing: BCBG open-back jacket (similar here and here; want this camo version) | J. Crew blazer | UO blouse | DKNY pants c/o Macy’s | Jessica’s Zara shoes | 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli | Tory Burch sunglasses

  1. Seriously - 3 blocks of windowing shopping you have to walk by every morning?! Eeek! Anyway, I must say dear, those heels add such a great touch (Jess has great taste 😉 ) and I love the great pop of bright pink w/ the blazer! This weather we’ve been having lately definitley hasn’t been very “springish”! Hopefully that will change soon! 😉

  2. Love this layering look. Can’t believe you survive that window shopping and that proximity to Zara!!! Kudos to you!!
