Behind the Scenes at Target’s Fall Fashion Show, Part 3

Today’s post marks the third and final installment in our behind-the-scenes recap of Target’s fall fashion show (and thankfully, everything you’ve seen in these posts is now available online/in-store).

Today, I want to chat about my favorite focal point throughout the series — the clothing, shoes and accessories, of course.

According to Target, this season is all about the decorative embellishments that upgrade your basics from understated to statement-making — and the name of the game is a few great pieces with many possibilities.

Both backstage and on the runway, everything was on-point.

The fall collection is a playful mix of graphic-print pants, dusty rose silk blouses, breezy tie-waist dresses and embellished knits. I wouldn’t typically think to pair a tweed jacket with camo-print trousers and a fringe bag, but (as seen below) it just works.

… Seriously, everything.

For proof, one need not look further than my closet, which has since filled with (budget-friendly) fashion finds: monochromatic jackets, faux-leather separates and jewel-tone trousers, among other things.

Target does it again.

  1. Not sure if you scored all your favorite Phillip Lim x Target bags, but I’m cohosting a giveaway and would love for you to stop by.

  2. It’s all about the mix! They did a great job of styling these patterned pieces together without the models ending up looking haphazard (or crazy, as I would look if I tried to do that). I love the top that one model is wearing with those camo pants. Looks like it was a really fun show!

    • Well-said, Jackie! I’m with you — too many mixes and you’re walking a fine-line of looking like a trend whore. I loved the styling at the show, though — “Add to Cart” pretty much sums it up.

  3. Love all of these pictures!! Target is always awesome, but it is AMAZING right now!! I love it all. Their faux leather pieces are all so perfect. That look with the floral shirt and checked pants is fabulous.

  4. I love this portion of your Target series! I haven’t been over to the jewelry section at Target in a while, so I think I am due to go scoop up some of the goodness I am seeing in these photos!
