What to Wear: A Wedding Weekend

Happy Friday! I’m shipping out and spending a long weekend in the Midwest — one of my best friends is getting married!

There are infinite things I love about coming home (I meaaan, nothing delights like a pair clean sweatpants straight out of the dryer), but I swear to you — my ears have been ringing for 24 hours straight. I guess I’m not used to the stillness?

Since I refuse to check a bag and had to carry-on my bridesmaid dress, I had little room for other items in my suitcase (although these shoes magically made their way in). With that in mind, I packed for two occasions specifically: the Rehearsal Dinner and Sunday Brunch.

During the Rehearsal Dinner, I’m planning to wear a simple, perfectly fit-for-fall dress with a pair of statement pumps. Sunday (hangover) brunch is a different story, though — it’s all about tricking people into thinking you got dressed that morning. Thus, I’ve packed a chunky sweater, thick leggings and a walkable pair of booties. Of course, a little bit of sparkle helps!

  1. Enjoy the weekend at home! That brunch outfit will be perfect for hiding the hangover and pigging out on brunch! What is it about post-wedding brunches? Just thinking about it makes me hungry!
