I adore this vest on you. I’ve never been a fan of the bulky fur vests, but I can get on board with this sleek alternative!

Thanks Jessica! It’s SO cozy, too. Black is the way to go if you’re not a fan of a bulkier vest — so sleek-and-chic!
I love that Jim Carrey speech—it got a lot of buzz back home earlier this year since he gave it in Iowa! (I don’t think he actually went to school there though it’s a small Hindu business school)
Ahh… I thought he did since they gave him an honorary degree, but good to know. : )
Loving this whole look of layers…those booties are perfection!

Ah, I’m kicking myself for not getting a shearling vest that I recently tried on at Nordstrom Rack. You look amazing!!
The worst kind of buyer’s remorse… Go back! Or just get this one, it’s on sale! #twinsies
Totally agree that a faux fur vest is the MVP! I have a similar one hanging in my closet and I love it.

I am all about a fur vest. Now if the weather down here would just cool down, I wouldn’t look so ridiculous walking around in full on winter gear in 65 degree weather.

Haha. Ironically, it’s 70 degrees here today! Mother nature can’t make up her damn mind…
that is a great vest. Love the neutral layering!

Those boots though!!! #swoon
Love the outfit, although do your feet hurt from walking around NYC in the booties? I have to admit, I am usually scared to buy any boots with heels because I think they will hurt my feet. Do share!
And thanks for the link to Jim Carrey’s speech - it is nice motivation and a great surprise to see on your blog!

Enjoy it! And have a great holiday, Kerrie. x
Girl, I have to agree. My layering piece of choice is a vest!! Jackets just seem to bulky for me. Plus, I live in Florida so a jacket is not always practical! I definitely need to add a fur vest into my wardrobe ASAP
