Patio Season

Contrary to popular belief, there are a total of two seasons in Chicago: Winter…. And patio season.

Seriously.

There’s lit-er-al-y nothing better than an afternoon in Chicago spent sitting al fresco, sipping a 312 on your favorite patio, rooftop or sidewalk cafe.

… And since those days are rather limited in our lovely Windy City, we take full advantage of them — even if that means a light moto jacket is required.

The silver lining, I suppose, is that I love every aspect of shopping for — slash wearing — spring moto jackets.

(The one I’m wearing today is by Diesel, it’s this knit-like fabric that essentially makes it feel like a glorified sweatshirt. Amazing!)

A quick word of advice if you’re on the hunt for a chic spring moto jacket — look for one that’s lighter in color (like this blush pink number), rather than your basic black. (Although, honestly, you can’t go wrong there.)

You also don’t have to limit yourself to leather or faux leather — this classic spring style comes in a lot of different cuts, length and textures. Linked below are a few of my favorites.
