Monochromatic

I’ve been gravitating toward a monochromatic palette lately, and I’m not sure if it’s the weather or if it’s New York.

A bit of both, perhaps.Today’s look is from a somewhat recent trip home to the Midwest.

When traveling especially, I stick to packing a neutral palette in order to give my pieces a little more mileage (as evidenced in Hong Kong and Tokyo).

In addition, I’ve become a full-fledged fan of the red lip, thanks to the snow and my snoozing habit.

A bold lip look is my easy way out for making a style statement in the winter, since I’m typically hibernating indoors or walking with my face behind sunglasses and underneath the hood of a puffer jacket.

  1. Love the monochromatic look. You can never go wrong with black and white. And that red lip is the perfect touch!

  2. I tried to take a photo like the first one you have posted (peering out of your sunglasses), and it turned out horribly. I looked like a total creeper. Teach me your ways!

  3. Love it! Very chic! And it’s definitely the weather: the snow on snow on snow is so depressing. I just want one day of warmth.
