Blanket Scarf

Returning to my winter wardrobe has been an unfortunate post-vacation adjustment (boo hoo, I know), but I’ve found the easiest way to cope is to cocoon my entire upper body in a super-soft blanket scarf.

Of course, I had to toss a pair of statement pumps into the mix for good measure.

I’ve spent most of the past month in Thailand, so when I was greeted with a blast of frost and wind chill in the airport taxi line this week, it nearly felt like as much of a culture shock as the initial language barriers in Asia.

… Almost.

I’ll continue to share more updates from my trip with you in the next few weeks. I have lots of stories to share from Hong Kong and Thailand, especially!

In the meantime – and until I can overcome a serious case of jetlag* – my weekly uniform will consist of an oversized scarf, a cute jacket and a pair of statement pumps. Let’s hope I haven’t forgotten how to walk in them!

  1. Love that scarf and how you styled it! So bummed I missed out on it, though! Good luck getting back in the swing of things! Jet lag is always punishment for enjoying oneself too much… that, and hangovers :)

  2. Those heels are killer! As for jet lag, I try to develop a routine asap I get back when it comes to sleeping and waking up. And try to get back on your normal routine as well- but jet lag always kicks you in the ass when you get back from a trip! (-:

  3. Oh boy, I can’t imagine how bag the jet lag must be since you were gone for weeks! On the notion of going from warmth to winter I can relate a little- going from near 70 degree weather in California to the low teens in NYC after the holidays was no fun. I love your plaid scarf and red jacket paired together- perfect!

  4. THOSE SHOES!!!!! Ok, aside from THE SHOES, nice to have ya back stateside! I’ll bet it’s been hard coming “back to reality” for basically a month spent in paradise! I look forward to seeing your Thailand and Hong Kong posts! :)
