Loved reading this post and such a good reminder to take a step back and smell the roses once in a while. Sometimes I feel like I’m trying to focus on so many things that I forget to put all my energy and focus into what I’m doing at the moment. Hope you enjoy your spring break!
P.s. The gallery wall looks awesome!

Beautiful photos, Hallie!! Congrats on finishing the training - you look amazing!!
So true - I really need to find a way to relax more because even when I do nothing I’m thinking too much ugh! Need to start doing yoga again. Love, Kirsten xx

I definitely need to take time to do this more. I’m usually just such a busy person that I don’t take the time to sit very often and just be still. Maybe getting back into yoga will help with that. Thanks for the statistic.

Love your blog! Also that sweater is so chic.
xo, Lee
You look so cozy and chic! I feel like most of my day is spent thinking about all the things I need to get done. It can be exhausting! I hope you enjoy some time off
Hm! I am SO guilty as charged about spending time with a wandering mind. Great reminder to be present and slow down. Thank you!
I’ve been struggling a lot with either feeling like I need to be doing something or just totally being lazy & not doing anything beyond watching Scandal. I think a happy medium needs to be found & that my down time should be tackling that list of fun things!
Couldn’t agree more. I’m doing a meditation challenge for the blog (and let me just say, it is a challenge!) and have been sitting in hour long classes at The Path - Monday and Friday mornings. You should join me sometime!
You look so cozy in this post! I’m loving that gallery wall. I absolutely am guilty of spending most of my time with a wandering mind. I’m currently thinking about an upcoming trip to Europe, which makes it seem so far away. I should try living in the moment more! Can’t wait to hear about your Soul Cycle experience
Yes! This is my first spring break out of college and oh how I miss it. My plan is to also finish my wall. I love how yours is coming out! Such a comfy outfit.

Times of rest are essential! Oatmeal knit sweaters and comfy socks (or slippers) are exactly what I think of when it’s time to chill…Happy Monday, Hallie
Love this post babe! Such a great reminder - especially since I am that “on-the-go” gal that hasn’t made time to even print one of her wedding photos from said wedding almost two years ago. *gasp*
Eat Pray Wear Love
I can’t even begin to describe how much I needed this post today, Hallie. I have a very long week ahead of me, and I’m trying my hardest to take time every day to just relax, even if it’s just 15 minutes in the morning to have my coffee before I start my day. We all need a little “me time” to keep ourselves sane. Thanks for the reminder!
Know exactly what you mean about taking a break. The worst feeling is when you rush from one thing to another with no time! Even those 20 minutes, as you mentioned, can completely change your outlook.

I like the idea of giving ourselves little break, especially mental breaks! I constantly find myself distracted and thinking 10 steps ahead.
