Colorful Classics

Falling into a style rut is almost inevitable in the middle of winter — or spring, I guess, as this is some sick, slushy joke we’ve got going on this week.

Especially so when you’re wearing workout gear for most of your day. (Training is almost over, guys!)

Seasonal Affect Disorder is real. So real.

And it translates to my life via a severe case of Bitch At Rest face — particularly during commuting hours.

As a result, I’m on a mission to honor my athletic aesthetic and keep those cold climate blues at bay.

My mom got me this convertible backpack for Christmas — and I adore it. (I got her a monogrammed version of the vest I’m wearing in return!)

The size, the color, the fact that you can carry it as a tote or toss it over your shoulder as a backpack - it’s everything. It’s waterproof, too, which has been a key component in her (yes, her) usage this week. I can’t tell if it’s raining or snowing at the moment, but I’m f—ing over it.

I’ve been really into the comfortable kicks lately — mainly New Balance classics. (Can you blame me? It’s too damn cold.)

Whether or not you’re planning to workout, these crush-worthy kicks are sure to make gym-goers jealous. Collecting all colors and styles is justifiable behavior… Right?

Their bright, vibrant mix of orange and teal kind of remind me of an island vacation, which — incidentally, I have coming up in two weeks. YAAAS! Jetset corals is back at it. Until then, it’s bright attire, and happy thoughts. Bright attire and happy thoughts… Tiki drinks. Tiki drinks. Tiki dr-… Booze.

Anyone want to try and squeeze into my suitcase?
