Peaks & Pits

Pit: My sisters are booking their flights home for the holidays (already!), and I’m a little nostalgic in that I’m unsure when (and whether) I’ll be able to go home this year. SoulCycle is open 365 days a year — yep, even on Christmas — so it comes with the territory that some of us have to stay and teach on those days. (I still wouldn’t trade it, though!) Fingers crossed that it all works out.

Peak: I did a really fun event with Nike this week, and it was awesome to meet so many local Chicago gals that I’ve only otherwise had a chance to interact with through social media. I had a great idea for a blog post from it, too, so make sure you weigh in with your questions here!

• Do you guys remember the tassle clutch I was carrying this past spring (pictured in today’s post)? Rebecca Minkoff finally came out with three new colors — cognac, black and navy! I like the black bag the best, but the neutral detailing in each will ensure it goes with pretty much everything in your closet, so it’s worth the investment (in my opinion). Get ready to have, like, six people a day ask you “Where’d you get that?” (And FYI: It sold out super quick last time-around.)

• Have ya’ll heard that Starbucks is (finally) adding almond milk to their menu? Thank you, Lord!

• Suddenly, I’m in dire need of a plum-colored leather watch. Maybe it’s the rose-gold hardware? Obsessed!

• Just bought this grey-colored camisole — isn’t the trapeze detailing on the back cute? I think it’ll be perfect for transitioning from summer to fall (which we are not discussing yet).

• bareMinerals just came out with a line of nude-hued line of lip colors — some are matte, some are glossy. I’ve tried a few, and my favorite is the Buttercream gloss in ‘Snarky.’ Head to Snapchat to see more of my review, if you haven’t already (‘coralsncognacs’).

• Does everyone know that Grey Malin made phone cases? The one with pink inner tubes is so cute (but I’m not quite ready to change from my current phone case — it’s too good of a conversation-starter).
