Cap Off

On the weekends, you will almost always find me running around town in a few of my favorite seasonal stapes.

A cozy quilted bomber jacket and faux-leather cap (both of which I found at Target) have loyally served as my weekend wardrobe foundation ever since the leaves started changing. And if I’m not wearing leather-looking leggings, you can almost always find me in these Joe’s Jeans — double-cuffed, per usual.

Today I planned to recap an event I was scheduled to attend last night — Tommy Hilfiger’s store launch at New Jersey’s Garden State Plaza, honoring Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year. Unfortunately, spending 10+ hours at 30,000 feet got the best of me and I’ve been bedridden with a nasty little bug since my return to New York.

Last night, partial proceeds from the event were donated to the mag’s 2013 Women of the Year Fund initiative recipient, The Malala Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to making high-quality education accessible to girls in Pakistan.

If you live in the area, swing by GSP and shop Tommy — a portion of all sales this weekend will be donated to The Malala Fund, too. If not, you can support the cause by being social: Glamour will donate $1 to the Fund for every social media post using the dedicated “TommyXGSP” hashtag. (Like this one!)

Stay healthy and have a great weekend, girlfriends.
