Spring Fever

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Daylight Savings Time is the greatest holiday of the entire year. Every year. Forever and ever.

Happiness is an agenda-free, 40-degree morning with sunshine in the sky and spring on the horizon… Of course, these days are far and few between. But we’ll take what we can get this week, huh gals?

how to wear a maxi skirt

This past summer, I practically lived in maxi silhouettes — this skirt in particular.

They’re a great go-to for when you want to be comfortable but still look chic. I’ve been missing mine so much that I used the first semi-spring day as an excuse to debut their triumphant return into my wardrobe. At last!

I’ve been opting for a more laid-back look as of late on the account of the intensive training program I’m in (/done with!), and I must say: It feels good to wear, well, real person clothes. Something other than spandex, really.

(You’re all nodding like, “Yeah, girl. We know you like your Nike’s.”)

what to wear with a maxi skirt

You know by now that I’m all about this sweater... Excessively so. My only regret is not buying it in every single color — isn’t reverse buyer’s remorse the worst?

I’ve worn it with over-the-knee boots and crisp white skinny jeans; but today I was feeling especially adventurous (I lead an exciting life), so I paired the boxy, relaxed fit with a floaty, feminine silhouette.

It’s the weekend, after all. I’ve got a handful of carb-loading sins to conceal…

Happy Monday, my friends. Here’s hoping Mother Nature doesn’t have another one of her bipolar episodes on us this week…

  1. omg how can you be so optimistic about losing an hour of sleep!! I’m going to try to adopt your attitude as I take a quick three weeks to eventually adjust to the time change, haha
