Chunky Knits

Next to that first sip of coffee, there’s nothing better than slipping on a really great, cozy sweater in the morning. Am I right?

This season, I’m all about knits with big, dramatic motifs. Literally, though — the thicker, the bulkier, the better! It’s going to be a long winter, and we might as well have something fun (and warm) to wear.

I spent most of yesterday checking items off my snow day to-do list, but I did venture outside to enjoy the first real snowfall of the season. For a few minutes, at least.

There’s something about a super-chunky sweater that makes blizzard conditions much more bearable. (Though if you haven’t read, our snowstorm Juno was more of a moderate dusting.)

In addition to this versatile cold-weather topper (that conveniently covers my ass), let me tell you about fleece-lined leggings. Do you have a pair?

Get some. Seriously — I’m honestly not sure how I survived winter’s past without them.

over-the-knee-boots

These are two of my favorite cold-weather pieces, so to make them more tangible (and appropriate to wear in public), I layered on a vest that hits at the hip and my favorite pair of structured, over-the-knee boots.

All about that office-appropriate pajama party, my friends…

  1. Loohhhvve this sweater. Problem is - my skin is basically the same color so it’s hard for me to wear without looking naked/like a pig.
