Transitional Style

No jacket season is the best season.

… I know, I know. I’m wearing the sweater again.

But really, how can I not? Soon it will be out with the chunky, in with the breezy — and for now, it’s the perfect solution to surviving all weather transitions, especially this long span of a few weeks from winter to spring.

This knit is one of the few pieces that’s warm enough to wear on its own when I’m out the door by 8 a.m., but it’s too warm for wool coats by the time lunch rolls around. Layering can be annoyingly cumbersome if you’re out and about all damn day.

As they say, when you know, you just know.

And regardless of whether “they” were actually talking about marriage/relationships and not retail, I digress… It’s pretty much the same thing, isn’t it?

Sweater, spouse. Potato, puh-tah-toe.

Last year we had The Vest, this year it’s The Sweater — worn with everything from boyfriend jeans to spring maxi skirts and over-the-knee boots.

  1. I’ve been admiring these jeans since you first posted them! They’re the perfect distressed pair. Have a good one, Hallie!

  2. I love this sweater! Every time you post it I get so sad that it’s sold out. I love a big, slouchy turtleneck. This one is perfection. I have to find one!

  3. This sweater is also ah-mazing - if you’re looking to add another to your wardrobe :)

  4. I love that you wear your favorites over and over again (and actually prove that you are wearing them over and over again). You’re awesome! P.S. You inspired my outfit today which will be posted next week. It consists of a cozy sweater half-tucked into an A-line skirt. Different, but amazing!
