Keep it Simple

I’m just going to come out and say it: Life has felt kinda crazy as of late.

Not, like, in a bad way — just in one of those ways where every day seems to sneak away faster than the last, leaving you (me) with a growing to-do list and a depleting wine rack.

Whenever this happens, I fall into the bad habit of getting to a point each evening where it’s like: “Okay, if I’m going to get a blog post up tomorrow, I should probably start it now… But dafuq am I gonna write about?”

I know you feel me on this.

That was last night in a nutshell — and I took the challenge upon myself a step further by taking a melatonin (for sleep aid) a bit too early in the evening.

Luckily, today’s outfit doesn’t need much context. I’m obsessed with it.

Apparently, I’ve assumed the role of Ambassador for White Jeans in the Winter (as evidenced here and here), and I how the colors of my faux fur vest tie the blush pumps and reversible black bag together — further proof that owning a wardrobe of subtle, muted neutrals goes a long way.

… Says the reformed “neon or nothing” addict — admittedly.

A little NARS lip pencil action never hurt, either.

I’ve been trying really hard to streamline my style and my wardrobe over the last few months, having recently developed a stronger appreciation for all things light, white, simple and sweet. (I’m writing a more specific post about how to do this, too; let me know what questions you have!)

So I’ll leave it at that today, as the melatonin is starting to make my fingers tingle and my eyelids are closing. Wahoo!
