LOVE how you display your shoes. and i suck at organizing, so best to get tips from a pro. haha.
Couldn’t agree more - I’ve learned the hard way on this more times that I like to admit! 🙂
Too many cute things - especially shoesies! Those Alice and Olivia are to die for.
Can’t wait to see more!
I love how you display all your shoes–pretty things deserve to be seen! I’m moving into a new apartment this weekend, and I can’t wait to do a tour on my blog. I always love seeing how people decorate their spaces–especially fellow NYC peeps!
So excited for you, Alyssa! Good luck on the move — hope the process is as seamless as possible for you. I am eager for you to do a tour on your blog, too!
I was really excited for this post too — which I suppose is semi creepy that a stranger was excited to see your living space, but who doesn’t love to see stylish spaces?! The shoes on display is probably my favorite part! That and the hardwood floors, super jealous you can rent a space with them and beautiful white walls — our apartment is tan on tan on tan, but we’re the first people to live in it, so at least we know it’s clean!

Thanks, Kodi! You know me and shoes… Haha, I don’t think it’s creepy at all. There’s something fun and lighthearted about peeking into someone’s home. We all know everything about each other given social media, anyhow. Mad blogger love, lady. 🙂
LOVE your apartment tour! I love all the little details that make up a place so I loved seeing your shoes on display, shoe boxes and the books! So adorable!
xx

Shoes as decoration = no brainer. LOVE. Can’t wait to see it in person VERY SOON! xoxo
LOVE your apartment! SO pretty! Those red shoes are the BEST!!

i use shoes as decoration too! i like being able to see them everyday even when i don’t wear them.
I’m thinking maybe I should position my ever growing shoe collection like art,too as opposed to stacks of boxes working their way out of my closet.
Where did you find the “Etc.” and “Stuff” baskets? Those are really cute!

Thanks for sharing! Your place looks amazing!!
Your apartment is so perfect! I especially love all of your fashion books as decoration!
Loving how you displayed your shoes as decor - they’re so pretty they may as well be! I too suck at organizing, lucky you have a friend that’s a pro! xo
Lia
I love the silver bathtub, where’d you get it?
Love it! Looks like you are totally acclimated Hallie (I am totally still working on it!). Let’s do drinks soon!
xo,
Sloan
Yes! Would love that. We really are very overdue. 🙂
The photographs look great! Nice job. I am in love with those red Alice & Olivia heels! I’m sure my closest is MUCH worse than yours…total disaster! I’ll be tacking a total redo this Summer, and covering it on my blog theyearoflivingfabulously.com. Good luck with yours, look forward to seeing it! -Marie Vlasic
Thanks, Marie! I’ll be checking out your closet re-org for sure. Always in search of organizational inspiration 🙂
Thanks! Gathering ideas now for unusual (read: cheap!) closet organization, especially for shoes 😉
Where are the ETC baskets from!?
Target! They have a lot of great, cheeky storage-like items. Highly recommend browsing online. : )
LOVE this idea so much I might have to borrow it! Although that would require me to get my place in order… blah! 😉 So glad you bought those shoes. I knew they would be worth it!!
-Ash
Please do, please do, please do! I know for a fact you have more shoes on display than I do. 🙂 Miss you!
I absolutely love all of these detail shots!!
I was thinking about my upcoming move last night and was thinking about your apartment (creepy? idk.) and you BY FAR have the best apartment I’ve been to in New York. Just throwing that out there. I’m seriously obsessed with it. (#whydidntimovetoyourbuilding #ourliveswouldbesomucheasier #sorryisuck)
I can’t WAIT to see how you style your new place! So excited for your move and to see your East Village abode come together. 🙂
That vase is INCREDIBLE, and so is that lamp!!! Also, I love how you display your shoes & make them into art (which they are, of course). I need to come over for a visit soon!
Love your apartment - the white with pops of color is exactly my style! Super jealous you can count a professional organizer among your friends. I need one, desperately.
xx, Bubbly in Brooklyn
These pictures are amazing!! I love that you use your shoes as decorations.. so you 🙂
Gorgeous! I love these sneak peeks! Living with a boy makes it so much more difficult to have a pretty apartment lol, but I am determined to add some creative touches when we move to a new place over the summer. See you soon I hope?
xo
Sam
love these sneak peeks girl! and your shoe collection is divine! xo
I love that this is truly a sneak peek — nothing too revealing but the perfect little tidbits of what makes your space stand out! Also, I have that mint-hued vase and love ittt!
Shoes are art - that is a fact. You’re place is super stylish and cute, but then again, I didn’t expect anything less! Hope the big city is treating you fabulous!
Omg thank you for the sneak peek! Love your style and it is only fitting that your home would reflect the same eclectic mix of girly/edgy/cool.
Btw, totally jealous of that view you have of nyc!
Zahra
Hal, I am just seeing this. Beautiful pictures! I love the shoes you have incorporated with the apt.! Can’t wait to see it soon 🙂
