A Weekend in Southampton

As you’ll know if you follow me on Instagram, I spent the weekend in Southampton soaking up the sun with a few girlfriends.

Highlights include: cocktail’ing al fresco at Tutto Il Giorno (Donna Karen’s daughter’s restaurant), partying at Southampton Social Club, watching the sunrise over the bay and so much more.

My favorite part of our trip was spent aimlessly wandering the village of Southampton. Think Gatsby-style mansions, unspoiled beaches, renowned restaurants and vine-ridden brick-and-mortar stores. Everyone I passed seemed to be wearing gauzy cotton shirts, denim cut-offs and striped espadrilles (I must own these). It was exactly as I’d pictured it to be.

We spent a number of afternoons walking up and down the village’s main streets, taking in the scenery and venturing into a shops — including Jildor, Sequin and C. Wonder.

As a first-timer to the East End, I welcomed the opportunity to escape the New York City heat wave. It was refreshing to be surrounded by so much inspiration, so you can expect to see a few more Hamptons-related posts (and outfits) on corals + cognacs throughout the next week or so.

As for my Southampton village love affair, here’s a sneak peek of what I wore, which I’ll share in more detail tomorrow:

  1. Such a luxurious summer retreat! I think just about every state has a summer town — one with all sorts of cute shops on some kind of body of water — but Southampton? That has to be the ultimate. Glad your trip was great!

  2. I’ve always dreamed of going to the Hampton’s, and these amazing pictures only make me want to go more! From the shopping to the beaches, it sounds picture-perfect! Glad you had an awesome trip!

  3. looks like such a cute town! i’m pretty sure east coast beach towns are like 8 times cuter than west coast ones. (i live in san diego.) i loved all your pictures on instagram.

  4. #obsessed.

It’ll be a miracle if I get out of here tomorrow morning without spending money. Calypso next door to Sequin is temping me with its Mexico-appropriate clothes, and somehow shopping here instead of the city seems…better!

  5. Your photos turned out great!! Can’t wait to see the rest from the trip and relive the best weekend ever! Best weekend ever followed by one of the worst Mondays in history. Ugh, only makes me long for the Hamptons even more. #motivation
