Neon Nikes

My weekends tend to go a little something like this…

bright-red-lip

Snooze, snooze, SoulCycle, brunch.

And lots of coffee! On a good day, that is.

Saturdays and Sundays — those days in which I can actually sleep in — I’m an aspirational exerciser. Meaning, I get my ass up to work out when I’m not too tired-slash-hungover to rise before noon. (My fitness-minded friends are somewhere shaking their fists, but hey — spontaneity trumps a sweat session.)

Truthfully, my favorite thing about weekend exercise is that it justifies my diving into a plate of pancakes post-workout.

And, of course, it means I can walk around all day in a sporty, quilted jacket, leather-looking leggings and my neon Nike’s. What’s your weekend uniform look like?

  1. My weekend uniform consists of jeans, a tshirt/sweater, jacket, and sneakers. Every once in a blue moon if I want to be fancy I’ll wear ballet flats. Let’s be honest, that’s my “outside of my house” uniform. Inside my house I’m all about the running tights/yoga pants/ pj pants 24-7. Don’t mind if I do!

  2. Hi there! My weekend look is all about TEAM leggings for pants. I would love if you did a post about how you balance your life in NYC. It seems like all of these fashion bloggers in NYC are always getting drinks and eating out on very indulgent items will maintaining cute figures! I would love your take on balancing a social life and a healthful life. Also, completely different subject but any recommendations for the best pizza in NYC? I’m visiting in December :D

    • Hahahaha. Laughing out loud, here. Touche, girl - let’s put a shopping (Zara!) and SoulCycle on the books after Thanksgiving. It’s been too long and I can’t wait to hear about your job at TDB!

  3. Well your weekend sounds quite similar to mine, minus of course the SoulCycle, I’m just too scared…I’d be that girl that passes out, loserrrrr. xx

    • Stop. You’re coming with us next time! Spinning (in general) is a great easing exercise because you can make it as high-impact or as “easy” as you want since you control the torque (resistance). Think about it. :-)

And thank you! I’m glad to hear that because I wear these Dunks err’where. Ha.
