Festive Fringe

If ever a weekend where recovery was required, it was this one…

… Which is evident, I imagine, given that it’s Wednesday and I’m just now surfacing. Dgitally, at least (unless you’ve been following along on Instagram and Snapchat, that is — username is ‘coralsncognacs’.)

I’ve spent the last few days offline, outdoors and in the company of friends. And actually, it was the best weekend I’ve had in a long time.

Lollapalooza weekend is always one of my favorite festivals of the year — and I say this often, but little doses of digital detoxes are the best. The freakin’ BEST!

From hip-hop to rock and raves, our long weekend was jam-packed with memorable music moments, major rain delays and — admittedly — a few instances of late-night frozen pizzas. (Extra SoulCycle this week, anyone?)

Anywho, it’s back in the swing of things for the week at-hand.

When reality beckons and it’s time to catch up on life and the like, only a casual (and high-waisted) pair of jeans and a loose-fit tee will do… An ideal combo for battling sweaty bus commutes and the chilly office AC, especially.

This fresh, clean and classic combo can go a long way — and it clearly has, as I’ve proven that I can’t stop wearing the shoes. Or that backpack! Can you blame me?

(Both will wear well into the fall, too, so you can bet they’ll be making their way into my suitcase for a few impending trips this season…)

For today’s meetings, a subtly heeled sandal keeps the look balance, so despite a light, lingering headache, the look remains perfectly proportioned.

Man, oh man. I love a good ‘ol Summer of Yes

  1. Hope you had an amazing time at Lolla! We went for my husband’s 30th birthday a few years ago and spoiled ourselves with lobster rolls and backstage access to a few shows. The whole scene, music, Chicago backdrop, fashion was so fun to soak in. Fringe is the perfect trend for festival season!
